Limited Edition – repurposed jeans make the perfect bakers face mask.
I am not sure anyone likes to wear a mask, but we must, and I am not sure anyone ever likes to part with a pair of jeans, but people do. Working in a bakery we get hot, and there is flour and mess, and everything I own has to be hard wearing. Paper masks don’t cut it, neither do soft fabrics stand the frequency of washing, so I asked my sister to make me some decent hard-wearing bakers face masks out of my children’s jeans – she created a soft hardwearing, denim mask, with a cotton liner for me.
I mentioned it to a few friends who were also interested, and my sister managed to get some more jeans, that instead of ending up in landfill can now be repurposed. They’ve been sterilised and washed at over 90 degrees by a professional linen company & she’s also managed to get some new denim too. So, we have enough denim jeans to make about 25 bakers face masks, and each one will be slightly different. I really need to emphasise that this is a trial run and that each face mask is different. Shades of denim will vary.
There are 2 sizes: there is one size of the upcycled jeans version and a smaller newer denim version, that would suit people with a smaller face, most women and children. Just select your size before checkout.
Please note: the design of the face masks has been improved. The straps are no longer behind the ears, they are now behind the head for ease of use and comfort.
You can pre-order your face mask/s now – delivery will take up to 14 days.
